Professional Experience

Catherine completed her Master of Professional Psychology in the year 2020. She previously worked with children and families experiencing mental health issues and learning difficulties under a not-for-profit organisation. Her role involved assisting the child in the adaptation of their behavioural, emotional, social, and learning skills in a school environment while working alongside a multidisciplinary team, the school and the child’s family.

Catherine has experience working with adults, adolescents and children from different cultural backgrounds. She has worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, social difficulties, and other areas of concern. She combines a caring approach with creativity and fun activities to help children and adolescents grow and mature while developing their skills in sessions. She believes collaboration, understanding and openness being fundamental elements for her sessions.

Recognising that every individual is unique, Catherine uses a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities to tailor a relatable and individualised treatment plan for her clients. Regardless of the issues presented, Catherine is willing to do her best to genuinely support her clients in developing a deeper understanding of their concerns and exploring alternatives and valuable skills together to help them achieve their goals.

Catherine also has experience conducting psychological assessments to assess behavioural, intelligence and cognitive ability for children and adults. These assessments assist in the development of individualised intervention and learning plans for children. Results can also assist in making applications to access government or school disability funding, special needs teachers or special provisions in formal school examinations.

Catherine is a registered general psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
