If you are experiencing genuine financial difficulty, please ring our Practice Manager when you call and we can discuss a possible concession that may work for you.

No. However, we do offer free counselling with our intern counsellors. In addition, if you hold a concession or health care card, some of our team may offer very generous concessions. That way you only pay a minimal fee each session.

If your GP regards you are as having a mental health issue, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year with one of our registered psychologists or mental health accredited social workers. If you use a Mental Health Treatment (or Care) Plan, you will pay the full fee and then the Medicare rebate will generally arrive in your bank account within a day or two.

If you see a Registered Counsellor, you will not be eligible for a Medicare rebate. Nevertheless, counsellor fees are generally less.

There is an increasing number of private health funds that recognise psychological and counselling services. Check with your private health fund if you are eligible under your extras cover. If you are claiming a Medicare rebate, you can’t claim a private health rebate for the same service.
