Professional Experience
Jane brings a diverse background in healthcare, education, and disability support to her counselling practice. She has worked as a registered nurse specialising in anaesthetics and recovery, and has also worked in medicinal cannabis within the private sector. This experience gives her insight into the needs of clients navigating complex medical histories, chronic health concerns, and the emotional impact of physical illness.
Jane also has experience in educational leadership, supporting teams and individuals through tailored resources and one-on-one guidance. Her work with clients with intellectual disabilities, together with her experience tutoring English, has strengthened her ability to understand each person’s unique needs, strengths, goals, and communication style.
Jane is committed to compassionate, client-centred care. She seeks to support clients as they work through physical, mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual wounds, helping them move toward healing, recovery, and growth with dignity and hope.
Faith-based Experience
Jane’s Christian faith shapes her understanding of each person as deeply valuable and worthy of respect, care, and compassion. She seeks to offer counselling that honours the dignity and autonomy of each client, while remaining sensitive to their individual story, beliefs, and goals.
