Amy Garis
Professional Experience
I am currently completing a one-year internship at Bridges counselling after completing my core coursework for a Master’s degree in counselling at Morling College.
My background includes working within the legal profession. My logical and caring approach to clients enabled the fostering of relationships that went beyond meeting their legal needs. My passion and care for people has been present throughout my professional career and has paved a direction into counselling which has been a natural progression and reflective of my deep desire to help others.
Faith-based Experience
As a Christian who is an active member of my local Church, I contribute to providing an environment which is supportive in worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth, whilst drawing on the wisdom of Scripture, prayer, and the power of God’s love. I am considerate of the identity, culture and deeply held values and meaning of life that others may hold and work inclusively with people of all belief systems and faiths.
