Professional Experience
Melanie has worked as a senior clinician for headspace in Sydney and Northern Territory. She has also worked with work place incidents and critical incidents in the work place. Melanie was a Forensic mental health specialist for people who are acutely mentally unwell and suicidal in the prison system. She has also worked with people in complex trauma including aboriginal children and adults in the Northern Territory.
Melanie has worked with people with emerging and borderline personality disorder who have difficulty managing their mood, anger and impulses. She has facilitated group DBT skills for BPD people suffering intense self harming at Royal Darwin Hospital for 6 months.
