How I Approach Counselling
I see counselling as an opportunity to with someone, using their strengths, to help them find new ways to do life. Often this requires courage and hope to overcome difficult past or present circumstances. I seek to support and empower people to find the healing and transformation they desire.
My approach utilises an integrative psychotherapy approach, incorporating:
- Emotionally Focused Therapy
- Narrative therapy
- Mindfulness
- Cognitive-behavioural therapy
- Attachment based and trauma theories
- Strengths based approaches
I am committed to professional training and am supported by supervision on a regular basis to maintain my ethical and professional standards.
